The Irregular Pentagonal Wine bucket, all made in solid wood, conceived and designed by Raffa, during first Lockdown March 2020, then handcrafted by GencoMulling in 6 mm oak bands, blacken only on the surface, dyed by an
enzymatic process typical of solid oak, while treated only with natural resins and oils inside.
The black
ebony-effect, generated by the presence of tannin, makes the color obtained
indelible because it's born between the fibers of the wood, by reaction with
iron oxide. Moreover, tannin is not accidental, being a natural component of
wine, always present in the stalk, in the pedicel, in the seeds and
in the grapes' skins. Maceration applied in natural wines contributes to release it. The design of
the Bâk ice bucket has rigorous yet harmonious lines, like the pentagonal volume
inscribed in a circle.
